Dr. Tabitha Keever (She/her/hers)

Dr. Tabitha Keever is originally from Texas. She earned both of her bachelors degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. At ASU, she received a scholarship to play D1 Beach Volleyball. She always knew she had a love for animals and was interested in medicine. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with Highest Honors. She is excited to live in Chicago and experience all that big city life has to offer.  

During veterinary school, Dr. Keever was the treasurer for surgery club, president and Class of 2026 representative for aquatics club, on the SAVMA sale committee, and a committee member for Omega Tau Sigma. She was also a member of the Veterinary Business Management Association, where she earned a business certificate. She was a member of Shelter Medicine, Feline Club, and the Emergency and Critical Care Society. She was nominated to be a member in the veterinary honor society, Mu Chapter of Phi Zeta. Dr. Keever also worked at the wildlife medical clinic at UIUC for two years, as well as served as a team leader for a year. 

Dr. Keever has previously been Fear Free certified and would love to provide Fear Free care to your pets! Her professional interests include surgery, urgent care, neurology, and shelter medicine! She cannot wait to build great bonds with you and your pets, and she values the human-animal bond and knows how special it is!

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Keever loves to stay active with hiking or workout classes, enjoys live music-especially country, loves to travel, enjoys beach days, and watching or playing sports!
