Old Town Animal Care Center

Daycare

No matter what your day entails, be rest assured that our priority is keeping your furry friend happy, healthy and safe.

Overview

Convenient location, specialized care, and a well-trained, compassionate staff make us the top choice among pet owners. We treat every pet as if they were our very own family pet, and strive to make their stay with us as comfortable and fun-filled as possible. We hope that they will think of our facility as a home away from home.

Why should I place my pet in daycare?

We understand that pet owners have busy lives. Working, hobbies, and running errands can keep us out of the house for most of the day. Have peace of mind that your pet is being cared for by placing them in daycare. Pets that are left home alone can lack the exercise and attention that they need to be happy and healthy. Daycare provides your pet a safe and fun environment where they can socialize and interact with other pets.

How does pet daycare work?

We pride ourselves for our first class daycare experience. Pets under our care will enjoy large play areas where they can socialize with other pets. We will match your pet to a specific play area depending on the pet’s breed, size, and play style. All play areas come equipped with toys, playground equipment, and a trained staff member who is supervising at all times.

What Your Pet Can Expect

Our spacious facility includes a large indoor play area, where dogs have lots of room to romp around and burn off energy. They’ll have plenty of time to play with toys and obstacles, make friends with other canines, and take breaks to rest and recharge. All of our daycare guests are always closely supervised by one of our team members, to ensure that everyone is getting along and having fun.

You can choose to drop off your pet either first thing in the morning for a half or full-day session, or in the early afternoon for a later half-day session. Feel free to call and check in on your pet during their stay with us.

Dog Daycare Requirements

As with grooming and boarding, daycare guests must be current on their vaccinations and parasite prevention and be spayed or neutered if they’re 6 months of age or older. This is for the safety of your pet, all other pets present, and our team members. They also need to undergo and pass a social evaluation before they can be allowed to participate—we cannot accept dogs with aggressive tendencies, because they could pose a serious risk. If you have concerns about your pet’s behavior and ability to socialize, your veterinarian will be happy to offer suggestions for improving their temperament and sociability.

Vaccines and tests required:

  • DHPP (distemper-hepatitis-parvo-parainfluenza)

  • Rabies

  • Bordetella

  • Canine influenza

    • H3N2

    • H3N8

  • Negative fecal test
